Volumes Environment
The Volumes environment offers different analyses and processing of rock Micro-CT images. With this environment, you can perform a wide range of tasks, from applying filters to images to modeling and permeability flow simulations.
Sections
The GeoSlicer Volumes environment is organized into several modules, each dedicated to a specific set of tasks. Click on a module to learn more about its functionalities:
- Loading: Designed to import and process MicroCT images.
 - Filters: Provides image filters to enhance your data and remove noise. Includes advanced filters such as Anisotropic Diffusion Gradient and Polynomial Shading Correction.
 - Segmentation: Perform image segmentation using automatic or manual methods to separate different phases and features in your rock samples.
 - Microtom: A module dedicated to simulation on microtomography data.
 - Microporosity: Calculation of microporosity by generating a porosity map of your rock samples from a segmentation.
 - Modelling Flow: Common workflows for microporosity calculation.
 - Registration: Align and register multiple images into a common coordinate system.
 - PNM (Pore Network Modeling): Extract, simulate, and analyze pore networks from your samples. This is a powerful tool for understanding the flow properties of your samples.
 - Big Image: Allows loading and processing large image files that cannot be loaded into memory at once.
 - More tools: Explore additional tools for analysis and results visualization.
 - Import: Imports data from standardized sources.
